A Tahltan-owned business built on nearly two decades of industry relationships.

Bear Dog Enterprises was founded in 2006 by the Edzerza family, a Tahltan family with deep roots in northwest British Columbia. Nearly two decades later we are one of the most connected Indigenous enterprises operating in BC’s Golden Triangle, working across mining, construction support, safety, and infrastructure.

If you are operating in Tahltan Territory or planning to, Bear Dog is the conversation worth having first.

The foundations Bear Dog brings to every project.

We make sure the right knowledge, relationships, and community standing are in place before work begins.

01

REGIONAL KNOWLEDGE THAT RUNS DEEP

We operate within Tahltan Territory and have done so for nearly twenty years. We understand the land, the communities, the regulatory environment, and the relationships that determine whether projects move forward or stall. That knowledge is not available off the shelf.

02

PARTNERS YOU CAN TRUST

Every company in our network has been vetted, worked alongside, and stood behind by Bear Dog. We work predominantly with family-owned and founder-led businesses — companies with skin in the game and a reputation to protect. When we bring a partner to your project, we are putting our name on it.

03

DIRECT ACCESS TO SENIOR DECISION-MAKERS

Getting serious work done in northern BC means getting in front of the right decision-makers. Bear Dog has spent two decades earning that access. We share it with partners who are ready to use it — opening doors that are genuinely difficult to open from the outside.

04

COMMUNITY STANDING THAT PROTECTS YOUR PROJECT

Working with Bear Dog means your project has genuine Tahltan community backing — not just a signed agreement. That matters for approvals, for workforce, and for the long-term relationships that determine whether a project runs smoothly or not.

The Tahltan Nation’s traditional territory spans one of Canada’s most active resource regions.

The Tahltan Nation’s traditional territory spans 96,000 square kilometres of northwest British Columbia, from the Stikine River watershed to the Yukon border. It is home to some of the world’s most significant gold and copper operations. Bear Dog is already embedded in them. For companies entering this region, that matters.
